Target Audience: Pre-Kindergarten Teachers, Administrators, and Math Specialists

Join us for a one-day, hands-on workshop that focuses Pre-K teachers on how to create a positive environment that supports the learning of mathematics.

During the session you will: 

  • Gain knowledge of how mathematical ideas in a Pre-K environment are investigated through play, active participation, and intentional learning tasks.
  • Learn to utilize questioning techniques to promote mathematical thinking. 
  • Learn to provide appropriate experiences that encourage mathematical development and understanding.
  • Gain strategies to differentiate instruction to meet the range of needs in your classroom. 

Each Participant Will Receive a Copy of Developing Math Concepts

in Pre-Kindergarten

For each key math area (Numbers, Geometry, Sorting/Classifying, Pattern, Measurement, and Data Collection),activities are provided for circle time, small group, and individual instruction.

"Big Ideas" are presented, making it clear to teachers what the appropriate expectations are for Pre-Kindergarten students.
