Billing and payment processing for Businesses' events is performed by Member Solutions, Inc. ("MSI"), and this contract is specifically assigned to MSI for all such purposes. Customer knowingly and irrevocably authorizes MSI to charge electronically Customer's bank account and/or credit card for any and all amounts due for Customer's, and anyone registering under Customer's, attendance and participation in the Event. Please note, you may see all or any portion of the following on your bank or credit card statement: "MSI*OAC 8882448044 ONLINE REG FEE". Any returned payment will be assessed a $25.00 fee. Any unsuccessful electronic transaction is subject to a $10.00 processing fee. MSI is not responsible for any bank fees incurred by Customer. We encourage all attendees to participate in our FREE Thursday Advocacy Training Session! It's being presented in a new format this year and even if you are a past Advocacy Training participant, you will learn something new! Make sure to make your travel arrangements accordingly as this event starts at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 9.


Building Your Inner Advocate: From Everyday Advocacy to Influencing Legislation - NEW FORMAT THIS YEAR!
 
What does it mean to be an advocate? Why does the OAC need them? Being an advocate is all about showing support for a cause you believe in, and the OAC's cause is making the world a better place for people with obesity. No matter what you're passionate about and how much experience you have, this training session will fill in the gaps and prepare you to become an advocate. Click the info tab to learn more!

Add-on a Donation to the Convention Scholarship Program

Make a Tax-deductible Donation to Help Bring Evidence-based Education to Under-served Individuals through the Convention Scholarship Program:
 
The OAC’s Convention Scholarship Program is an ongoing designated program within the Obesity Action Coalition, designed to cover and/or offset the expenses of the Your Weight Matters Convention & EXPO by awarding grants to those facing financial hardship. The program is supported exclusively by the generosity of donors who make it possible for under-served individuals to access the quality education and community of support that can only be found at the Convention.

I confirm that I have read and understand the OAC's Terms and Conditions for the 2020 Your Weight Matters Convention & EXPO, as outlined below:

Convention Registration Cancellation Policy: Exceptions to the cancellation policy will be considered in the event of government mandated travel restrictions/bans that have a direct and immediate impact on OAC’s Convention. Registered attendees will be notified no less than 45 days prior to the event of any changes and/or modifications. We encourage all registrants to await submitting any request for cancellation until we get closer to the event date.

Convention registration fees are NONREFUNDABLE. The OAC recognizes that extraordinary circumstances may arise that could prevent an individual from attending the Convention. If you should need to cancel your registration due to an unforeseen circumstance, a transfer request can be submitted to the OAC, in writing, no later than May 15. There is no guarantee that the request will be able to be honored. Refund requests may be considered, but are subject to financial penalties (to cover administration expenses). Refund requests received before May 30 will incur a $25 cancellation penalty. Refund requests received after May 30 will incur a $50 penalty. Cancellation requests will not be reviewed after June 9. All requests are evaluated by the OAC and must include your full name, address, date of registration, method of payment and reason for cancellation. Transfer and refund requests can be submitted to convention@obesityaction.org.

Convention Session Videotaping and Recording Policy:
Video or digital recording (i.e. cell phones, digital or film cameras or tape recorders) of any kind is not allowed in the General Sessions, Breakout Sessions, trainings and workshops without prior consent/authorization by the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC). This policy applies to all participants, including attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and speakers. Participants found to be recording any portion of the educational content from the sessions without prior authorization will be asked to cease recording immediately. Participants not in compliance with this policy may be asked to leave the sessions and will not be able to return.

By completing my meeting registration, I understand that the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) will be taking photos and/or video onsite at the 2020 Your Weight Matters Convention & EXPO for internal and/or promotional use for future meetings. I understand that this means my image could be used in future promotional materials, and I hereby authorize the OAC to use, reproduce, and/or publish photographs and/or video that may pertain to me – including my image, likeness and/or voice – without compensation or recognition. This material may also appear on the OAC’s Web sites and/or social media, which are public outreach avenues. This authorization is continuous for any video footage captured at the 2020 Your Weight Matters Convention & EXPO. By completing this registration form, I hereby grant the OAC the right to broadcast, exhibit, market and otherwise distribute this material, in whole or in parts, and alone or with other materials. I understand that if I DO NOT choose to accept these terms that it is my responsibility to contact the OAC directly at convention@obesityaction.org to opt-out.
