Contest Rules: Modified IJF rules:  Arm locks permitted in Senior B (Sr-B) and Masters Divisions!  No arm locks permitted in any junior division, no choking for competitors under 13 years of age.  Match Length: 2 Minutes: All Junior and Masters Division,3 Minutes: All Senior Divisions, 6m X 6m contest area, with minimal safety area.  Player called first is White (must wear White Gi), Player called second is Blue (must wear Blue Gi or White Gi with blue belt). Modified double elimination.

Open to current members of the USJI, USJF, USJA and ATJA; Jr. Div.16 yr. & under; Sr. Div. 17 yr. & over. Jr. may play in Sr. Div.; anyone may play in a heavier Div. for an additional fee.  All competitors must present a valid card from the USJA, USJF,  USJI or ATJA in order to compete.  Membership forms will be available on site.

Prizes: Awards for 1st, 2nd, & two 3rd Places. 

Individual Team Trophy for both Shiai and Kata awarded to the Club/s scoring the most points 1stPlace-5pts, 2nd Place-3pts, 3rd Place-1pt.

NAKABAYASHI CUP for team scoring most points in Shiai and Kata combined.

Waiver of release and liability and agreement to participate
In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way, including travel to and from, in any Judo tournament, practice, clinic, and related events and activities of the United States Judo, Inc., United States Judo Federation, United States Judo Association, New York State Judo, Inc. Bronx Judo and Martial Arts, American Traditional Jiu-jitsu Association, Selesian High School & Metropolitan Judo Association, I hereby:
1. Acknowledge that I am familiar with the sport of Judo and understand the rules governing the sport of Judo and the importance of following these rules. Agree that before participating, I have a right and duty to inspect the mats, equipment, facilities, to be used, and if I believe anything is unsafe or beyond my capability, I will immediately advise my coach or supervisor of such condition(s) and refuse to participate.
2. Acknowledge and fully understand that I will be engaging in a contact sport that might result in serious injury, including permanent disability or death, and severe social and economic losses due not only to my own actions, inactions or negligence, but also to the action, inaction of negligence of others, the rules of the sport of Judo, or conditions of the premises or of any equipment used. Further, I acknowledge that there may be other risks not known to one or not reasonably foreseeable at this time. Knowing the risks involved in the sport of Judo, I assume risk and accept personal responsibility for the damages following such injury, permanent disability or death.
3. Through this waiver, release, discharge and covenant not to sue United States Judo, Inc., or United States Judo Federation, United States Judo Association, New York State Judo, Inc., Bronx Judo Inc, Amerian Traditional Jiu-jitsu Association, Selesian High School , and Metropolitan Judo Association their respective administrators, directors, agents, coaches, and other employees or volunteers of the organization, event officials, medical personnel, other participants, their parents, guardians, supervisors and coaches, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners, lessors, and lessees of premises used to conduct the event, all of whom are hereinafter referred to as “released parties,” from any and all claims, demands, losses, or damages on account of injury, including permanent disability and death of damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the released parties or otherwise.
The parent(s) of legal guardian(s) of minor participants (ages 18 and below) additionally certify that they have instructed the minor participant to the above warnings and conditions and their ramifications, and that they consent to the minor’s participation.
I have read the above waiver and release, understand that I give up substantial rights by signing it, and knowing this, sign it voluntarily. I agree to participate knowing the risk and conditions involved and do so entirely of my own free will.
